Yeast Bank

This page will contain the information on my yeast bank strains and will be updated as more microorganisms are added. Organisms isolated from commercial beers, fruits, grain etc. rather than purchased as pure cultures will be recorded as “Organism X1, X2, X3 – source” and so on because I can’t fully characterize the wild bugs in my apartment.

  1. I am not sure why it took me so long to find your blog. This is great stuff and it looks like I have hours of reading ahead of me.

I think it is great what you are doing here. I have been collecting yeast samples from dregs for a while. I would be up for a trade of some of your souring bugs. Check out my website

Give me an email if you are interested. I’ll try to put together a complete list. (Incentive: I do have the Drie Brett strain(s) that my friend gave to White Labs last summer)
